It promotes online classes. Before this pandemic, face-to-face classes were common, so students were able to go back to hometown only during holidays. But thanks to promoting online classes, they can be easy to move. My hometown is far from Asahikawa, so it is good for me.

This is a bit short, but online education does add the “affordance of place” making it so that people in different places can still participate in classes without loss.
I think this is interesting idea. By taking online mode, students can take lessons wherever they are, including their hometown!
My hometown is also far from Asahikawa. So, I agree with your opinion. it is one advantage of online class to take the class anywhere and anytime. So, we have to stay own house. But I am sad if you go back your hometown for long time…
